Tara Ladies

The Tara Ladies are proud to be the longest running Ladies Gaelic Football club in Britain, and continue to be a very close knit team.  As the saying goes...... once a Tara Lady, always a Tara Lady (see our previous players page).

Our team consists of a huge range of age groups (from 10 to 40 years old) and   we come from all corners of the world, including loads of London and UK Born players, all counties in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Spain and in the past from New Zealand and America.

In the height of the season we train twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.30pm (till about 9pm) in Northolt Rugby Ground (see Training Page for details).  Our training sessions are suited to all, whether you are a beginner or experienced, fit or unfit, there will always be something you can do.

We try and keep training tough but fun, and always have a positive and encouraging attitude.

Out of season the team also take part in 5-aside soccer, netball and Aussie Rules to keep fit, stay competitive, and most importantly - Keep having fun!

The Tara GFC is also associated with various companies in London and may be able to arrange jobs for keen players.

On a social side, the girls are well known for their great nights out. We also try and get to our sponsor pub, LuLa's in Willesden after matches, where the post match analysis could rival any men's conversations.

Overall, the Tara Ladies GFC is not only a Club to play and enjoy Gaelic Football with, but it provides an opportunity to meet some of the best friends you could ever wish for.
